Ant Clay Chief Strategy Officer AKA does strategy, SharePoint user-centric stuff & wishes he was out sailing more..

“Ant is a pain-in-the-ass SharePoint change agent who shows how a business can benefit from SharePoint without being scared of what the IT department think and say – something all companies need”
I’m a strategy consultant, sailing geek and family man. I’ve been working in IT related roles for over 15 years, before that I was a failed waiter and a successful flower-seller on Rugby train station!
I live in the Midlands, UK with my wife, 3 kids and our dog. I’ve sailed dinghies for most of my life – I competed in the Optimist World Championship and was UK National Optimist Champion in 1987, since then I’ve been in the top 15 nationally in a number of other sailing classes including 420, Enterprise and Miracle. I currently sail/fly an International Foiling Moth (it’s a truly amazingly scary hydrofoil boat!!).
I have a phobia for doing DIY, I love wearing flip-flops and social media isn’t the future it’s already a fundamental part of living and on that subject, I wrote a page for Shel Israel’s book “Twitterville – How Businesses Can Thrive in the New Global Neighbourhoods” ; go have a look at page 262 -263 for “The Ant Clay Pub Metaphor”!
